Friday...Woohooo!!!!

There's just something about the weekend arriving that totally helps me relax. Even when I have to work. So with it being Friday, I'm breathing a big, deep, relaxing breath. Yay!!!

The girls and I had a bit of a "crafting" afternoon on Wed. I've loved these felt hair clips for little girls and thought I'd give it a try. Didn't turn out real great, but hey, it's my first one. I have another one in progress that I think may turn into a pin to wear on my shirt. Not big on wearing stuff in my hair.

It really has been a great week with the kids. Parent/Teacher conferences yesterday and I'm thinking MY KIDS ROCK!!! They are all doing amazingly well and to celebrate we did homemade milk shakes. It's a good thing I wasn't being evaluated on my smarts lately. LOL. I totally started the blender without the lid on and decorated the kitchen with Oreo shake. I'm chalking it up to my creativity subconsciously taking over. I haven't figured out how to explain the fact that I left my grocery list home when I went to the store. Made it half way there and my cell goes off. Kurt was taking care of me, called and said "Um Mom..." I cut him right off "I forgot my list didn't I?". I've been terrible at stuff like that lately. But refuse to start thinking maybe I'm getting old.

Finally got a chance to take pics of the new canvas I started last week. Haven't been able to work on it any more, but fingers crossed for some time on Sunday. Not sure I love it, but it's so not done yet either. There are still so many elements I want to add. And knowing me it could look totally different by the time I'm finished. Can't wait to see how it turns out. I'm hoping this doesn't end up in my stack of "unfinished projects". I've only got about 9 or so canvases to complete. Guess I better get on that. I can see an Etsy shop in my future. Some of them are going to have to find new homes. I don't have the space to save everything I've made. Yet it's hard to even think about selling my work. Usually every piece is so personal and has a very special inspiration and story it's like parting with a piece of myself. I have high potential to become a hoarder. May even be in the first stages. LOL.
